Mitsubishi's HQ in Uxbridge has recently been transformed following a total redesign and refurb. The brief? To reinvigorate the premises and create a welcoming, collaborative space for staff and visitors alike.
Acoustic features have been incorporated into the scheme, providing privacy and quite corners (and pops of colour!). Biophilic elements are integral, including living planters and moss walls. And to help fulfil the sustainable design brief, existing materials and furniture were repurposed were possible.
Kate Hardy, Interior Options Head Designer says "I wanted the office design to strongly emphasis employee wellbeing, with dedicated spaces for socialising and relaxation. Retaining a strong focus on sustainability throughout the design was crucial, as was getting the acoustics and wallcoverings just right".
Ivan Young, Interior Options Director: "The Mitsubishi Project had quite a challenging timescale of 30 days to completion, and our team did a fantastic job of managing the 35 manufacturers working on the scheme whilst minimising disruption to the end client. Withour entire team pulling together in collaboration with Tektura and our other trusted suppliers, we have created a truly unique space for Mitsubishi, which I am incredibly proud of".
